Sprinklers
The role of sprinklers as the most widely used means of managing a fire risk is confirmed by the fact that over 40 million sprinkers are installed each year.

We supply a full range of equipment, standard, decorative, fast, response, electrically operated. Sprinklers can be manaufactured from various materials and finishes. A full range of sprinklers control valves completes the range of sprinker equipment.

Water Spray
Flammable Liquids pose a great threat, but using a combination of medium velocity and high velocity water spray nozzles most types of liquid fires can be cooled and extinguished. Medium velocity nozzles are used to cool the plant containing the flammable liquid, whilst high velocity nozzles extinguish the fire. Nozzles can be made from brass through to stainless steel to match the environment they will be used in . A full range of deluge and other control valves completes the nozzle range.

Foam
Foam systems act by mixing compound, water  and air to produce a low , medium, high expansion foam, which when applied forms a temperature resistant stable blanket over the fuel , separating the flammable vapours from oxygen and flame. The range of foam compound, storage, induction and variuos types of foam applicators available from our range will meet, all demands . Foam successfully applied will reduce burning time and hence environmental damage.

Gas extinguishing systems
Carbon Dioxide is the most commonly used extinguishing gas , starving the fire of oxygen, it can however only be used in unmanned areas. Inergen(r) is a gas unique to Alghanim-Wormald and uses a gas blend of Argon, Nitrogen and a small amount of Co2 that helps in human respiration, the gas is approved for use where personnel are present.  Alghanim-Wormald has a complete range of the latest gaseous extingushing systems as well as full refilling capability

Detection
Fire detetction and alarm, Gas Detection, CCTV , Access control and Voice Evaculation systems complement the range of protection systems. From conventional to fully addressable analogue detection systems are available. Simplex , dual , triplicated, processor technolgoy, dependant upon availabity and reliability requirements.

Special hazard Systems
Special hazard systems are available for complex risks. Water mist systems are individually tailored to gas turbine, machinery spaces and  areas where limited water application is required. Dry chemical systems for flammable liquid and electrical risks such as cable sealing ends. Coooker hood powder and liquid systems are a unique product for a specific risk.
